Embark on a magnificent 3-day adventure that takes you from the charming city of Munich and its storied breweries and traditions to Neuschwanstein, where you’ll step into a fairytale on a visit to the magnificent Neuschwanstein Castle—which served as an inspiration for Disneyland’s iconic Sleeping Beauty Castle.

Day 01 :
MUNICH
Arrive in Munich, Germany
Willkommen in München! Upon your arrival, head to the charming Old Town are where your family-run hotel is just steps away from Marienplatz, quaint cafés and other hidden gems. Immerse yourself in the vibrant culture and heritage—and of course, a world-renowned beer culture.
City Center
After you settle into your hotel, head to the Altstadt, the City Center that is situated on the lively Marienplatz Square. This is the heart of the city and is home to the Neues Rathaus (New Town Hall) and its famous glockenspiel. Marvel at the mix of historical architecture, traditional pubs and cafés and plenty of shopping.

Join a local expert who will guide you throughout the city’s streets, making the history and culture of the city come alive through entertaining stories and facts.
Welcome Dinner at Wirtshaus Ayinger
Celebrate your first night in Munich with an exceptional meal of regional, Bavarian fare. This landmark restaurant largely survived the destruction of the “Platzl” block in World War II and was rebuilt and re-opened in 1953.

NEUSCHWANSTEIN

Travel to Neuschwanstein
Board a private motor coach and travel through the stunning Bavarian landscapes on the way to Neuschwanstein.
Explore Grounds at Neuschwanstein Castle
Enter the fairytale splendor of Neuschwanstein Castle as you traverse its many trails through wooded areas or stroll through the romantic gardens, admiring the stunning fountains, including the Lion’s Fountain, the Swan Fountain and the Goose Man Fountain.
Guided Tour with Certified Local Expert
Join a Certified Local Expert who will bring this iconic 19th-century castle—and the inspiration for Disneyland’s Sleeping Beauty Castle—to life through stories spanning its history that dates back to the start of its construction in 1869. Commissioned by King Ludwig II of Bavaria as his private residence, the castle sits atop a rock ledge above the Pöllat Gorge amid the Bavarian Alps. The castle was never fully completed due to King Ludwig II’s death in 1886 and seven weeks later, it was opened to the public in order to recoup construction costs.

Following your descent from the castle, enjoy lunch on your own in Neuschwanstein. Your Adventure Guides will be happy to recommend some of their favorites.
Return to Munich
Board the motor coach and head back to Munich following your visit to Neuschwanstein.

MUNICH

Enjoy a hearty breakfast at the hotel before heading out for some more adventures in Munich prior to embarking the ship.
Hands-On Traditional German Treat Workshop
Bake alongside a Bavarian baker in a hands-on class where you will learn how to make a traditional German treat. Afterwards, reap the reward of your work as you taste your warm creation fresh from the oven!
Lunch at Weihenstephaner Brewery
Enjoy a classic Bavarian meal at the Weihenstephan Brewery, recognized as the world’s oldest continuously operating brewery, whose roots date back to 1040. The brewery was founded by Benedictine monks and has centuries of brewing tradition and remains a leading name in Bavarian beer today.
Travel to Vilshofen to Embark Ship
Board a motor coach and travel to Vilshofen (Nurnberg on Holiday departures) where you will embark on the ship to begin the next part of your amazing adventure.
For Guests returning home, prearranged transportation will be provided for your transfer to Munich Airport following the day's activities.
